Odds of winning in roulette
A gambler’s luck is all he has against the dealer and against all his opponents in a casino. When starting to play a game there are a few things that you must know beforehand to help you enhance your luck. These are the rules and regulations of the game. And also what are the odds of winning a game if you place a particular bet. This part is especially important for a gambler. Without such calculation you might end up placing your bets blindly and losing a large amount of money.
The game of roulette although is extremely addictive it has a huge house edge. The house edge is around 5% which is extremely high compared to other gambling games. This is the amount which the casino earns to maintain its business. A bet $1 bet in roulette pays you around 35 times and hence gamblers are attracted to it despite the house edge. And yet the payout is not that fair since there are 38 slots in total and the casino pays you only 35 for 1.
In the European version of the game the odds to win a bet placed on a single bet are 36 to 1, while in the American one it’s 37 to 1. The bet that is advised to be avoided by many experts is the five number bet. The chance of winning it is 6.6 to 1 in the double zero roulette. The single zero roulette does not offer this bet. The highest odd of winning in this game is the through bet placed on a colour or even odd number. That is, 1.05 to 1. These are the best bets to be placed.
In order to enhance your odds of winning the game you can use some simple tricks. One of these can be playing only the outside bets which have a greater chance of winning. The other trick that most gamblers use is that of placing two outside bets. That is say, place a bet on the odd numbers and then place an equal amount of bet on the colour red. This helps in avoiding great loses in the game.
